Maetrik – Innovation Fascination Remixed
In late 2006, Tic Tac Toe Records released the brilliant ‘Innovation Fascination’ from Maetrik, as the B-side track of ‘The Prophecy’. Now 4.5 years later we decided to give Innovation Fascination a makeover with 4 new hot remixes from Mikael Stavöstrand, Blagger and 2 versions from Spanish
wonder boys Attemporal.
Eric Estornel aka Maetrik aka Maceo Plex really doesn’t need the big introduction. He has been producing tracks since the 90ties and have over the last couple of years released his work on Cocoon, Crosstown Rebels, Mothership, Audiomatique, Systematic, Dumb Unit, Treibstoff and many more.
1. Mikael Stavöstrand Remix
First up is Swedish, but Los Angeles based, Mikael Stavöstrand. He has turned the track into a straight forward minimal, but still pumping affair. Working with the original melody and vocal snippets.
2. Blagger Remix
Copenhagen local boys, Lars Gregers & Simon Damborg aka Blagger have over the last couple of years released on Tic Tac Toe and Perspective, both techno and deep house. Here they are delivering what is best described as the funkiest take on a techno track you’ll hear this year.
3. Attemporal Favelas Remix
Our boys from Spain, who did the last release for us, back in November gives us 2 versions. The ‘Favelas’ version is a deep techno banger with heavy bass and a break with crazy perc!
4. Attemporal Change Remix
The 2nd version from Attemporal called ‘Change’ is an old-school super raw techno builder, using the original vocal snippets a bit, but besides this is focussed on this raw sound of the late 90ties.
