On our constant lookout for the best and the finest, Tic Tac Toe Records touched down in our favourite European city Barcelona and hooked up with Oliver Henares aka Swat Squad.
Swat Squad has been around for more than 4 years and with releases on such influential labels as Trapez, Treibstoff, Frankie, Gastspiel, Resopal and his own PulseWith among others, Oliver has firmly established himself in the minimal-techno neighbourhood.
This three-track burner for Tic Tac Toe is no exception.
The booomb track is the A side, Prototype. Super powerful minimal techno that blows off the roof everywhere we’re playing this track. When Swat Squad finishes his livesets with this tune, the crowd always explodes into frenzy!
Two tracks on the B side:
Atomic Lighter is a stealth bomber. A bit more laidback until it explodes in the middle of the track and gets more intense and aggressive.
Last track on the record is Red Cat, and this surely is a red cat dancing on the hot rooftop under the summer sky of Barcelona. Bouncing, minimal, techno’ish boogie woogie, that keeps building and building.
Another smasher from Swat Squad.

infosheet:
- The Danish label for top-notch minimal house & techno – proudly presents the first solo 12” from label boss: Kenneth Broxgaard aka. PATRICK BATEMAN.
The electronic scene in Denmark is booming – and one of the key instigators has been Bateman.
A veteran DJ since the early nineties with a long list of national and international appearances under his belt, Patrick Bateman founded Tic Tac Toe Records in 2004.
The main mission from the get-go has been to be a central outlet for all the massive electronic talent that Denmark has to offer – along with handpicked names from all over. Happy with the result and a massive feedback, Bateman followed up with the founding of sister label Connect Four that focuses on slower, deeper minimal tunes.
Between running the two labels and an ever more extensive booking schedule, time has been sparse, so it has taken a couple of dozen of releases before he now finally presents his own work. Please enjoy – the pleasure is all Bateman’s.
On the remix job this time we present the current superstar out off Italy, MASSI DL. He was born in Naples in 1988 and has been producing electronic music since he was 16. Check him out on labels like Frankie Records, Safari Electronique, Leftout and Multivitamins.

A1: Everglades (Massi DL Remix)
Massi DL strips down Everglades to his minimal, weirdness-laden funk that will fit perfectly into the playlist of every DJ with love for the minimal.
A2: Everglades
The original track is a trancey, hypnotic burner still very much in the tech-house vein. Lots of themes and hypnotic sounds for that trickling feeling in the back of your neck. This is a track that works very well on all floors.
B: Walk Through The Sky
This track is perfect for the warm-up session or the well places breakdown in the middle of the set. The catchy melody on this track just keeps building and building. Great track in the vein of some early John Tejeda stuff.
